             abstract = "This work consisted to develop a Environmental Geographic Database 
                         to store the data of the coastal area in the Rio Grande do Norte 
                         State and a Computational System to automatize Environmental 
                         Sensitivity Index Mapping. These maps assist to reduce the 
                         environmental consequences of oil emptying and guide the efforts 
                         of containment and cleanness/removal, for the identification of 
                         the sensitivity of coastal and marine ecosystems, biological 
                         resources and the socioeconomics activities that characterize the 
                         occupation areas and the use of the coastal and marine resources. 
                         The maps are essentials for: contingency planning, combat 
                         operations to oil spill and environmental planning.",
